During Monday's city council meeting, Mayor Armondo Pavone designated April 22, 2026, as Administrative Professionals Day. Accepting the proclamation was Administrative Assistant for the Executive Services Department, Hannah Miller. Miller was joined by many of our department administrative professionals at the meeting and virtually.
“It is no accident that this group has become a go-to resource for citywide improvements, often being asked to pilot processes and provide practical feedback for any number of endeavors that would impact their departments. Their impact is felt in every corner of our organization,” stated Deputy Chief Administrative Officer and Executive Services Administrator Kristi Rowland.
From Public Works and Finance to Executive Services, our administrative professionals keep operations running smoothly (from behind the scenes) through their hard work, reliability, and attention to detail in support of their team and collaborating with their peers across all departments.
We have over thirty administrative professionals across the city. They regularly meet to share skills and knowledge to improve overall city efficiencies. This includes monthly meetings and biannual retreats that include professional development opportunities as well as time dedicated to process improvement and solutions.
During her remarks, Hannah Miller shared comments focused on our administrative professionals who are vital contributors in today's team-oriented work environment and serve as the frontline public relations ambassadors. Every day, their knowledge and expertise in communications, technology, project management, time management, organization, and customer service are crucial to keeping our departments moving ahead.
Thank you to all of our administrative professionals!
